Current lab members
Alexis Moore, 24' Independent study student in 2023 and 2024 Alexis is collaborating with Ariane and Nadine to characterize thermal performance curves in populations of Arabidopsis thaliana sourced across climatic gradients. I am from Orlando, Florida and in my free time I like to go hiking and take photographs! |
Ariane Burt, 24'
Independent study student in 2023 and 2024 Ariane is collaborating with Alexis and Nadine to characterize thermal performance curves in populations of Arabidopsis thaliana sourced across climatic gradients. Previously, as part of an ongoing collaboration with the Catawba Nation, she examined plasticity in stomata size and density in Maize in monoculture vs. the Three Sisters planting arrangement and on the effectiveness of artificial selection on kernel color in Catawba corn. I’m a senior biology and political science double major. I love nature, jigsaw puzzles, and Taylor Swift! |
Nadine Shannon, 24'
Independent study student in 2022 and 2024 and former Research in in Science Experience (RISE) scholar in 2021 Nadine is collaborating with Alexis and Ariane to characterize thermal performance curves in populations of Arabidopsis thaliana sourced across climatic gradients. Previously, she participated in an experimental evolution project using SynAdapt, a Maize/Teosinte hybrid population. |
